Free Social media training for pharmacist/pharmacy team members

NHS England already carry out a social media campaign periodically featuring pharmacy - #pharmacistfriday and are looking for more pharmacists/pharmacy team members to participate in these events and other projects going forwards.  They are keen to have local people involved in the campaign who are serving their local populations.  

To this end the Communications and Engagement team at NHS England have offered to provide free media training for community pharmacists and or members of the pharmacy team so they have a group of local people to call on when needed for these campaigns (they are supervised & supported by NHS England) .

This may include media interviews, social media, participating in videos for proactive/positive pharmacy/pharmacist pieces, along with case studies about pharmacists/services/patients who have used pharmacy services (all ammonised) 

The offer the team at NHS England are making consists of –

• A session  for 3-4 hours 
• Social media training, advice and support
• Social media content, what makes engaging content, how to take a picture, make a video
• How to identify cases studies and sign up, consent forms 
• Other support such as toolkits, briefings, case studies
• Working with media and prep for media if a story/project is selected

Attendees will need to bring with them their phones or tablets, whichever they are going to use for social media.

For those of you who work for a multiple or chain of pharmacies please get the relevant permissions from your Head Office or appropriate Line Manager before signing up to this event.
